Privacy Policy

Overview

Tappy Maths is a fast mental maths game for children and families. We keep the app simple and collect as little information as possible. Scores and settings are stored on the player's own device. We do not ask for a name, email address, date of birth, photo, contacts, messages, precise location, or payment information.

The app may send anonymous gameplay analytics so we can understand difficulty, improve questions, and fix rough parts of the game. These analytics are about gameplay, not personal identity.

Who Runs Tappy Maths

Tappy Maths is operated by the developer of the app. For privacy questions, contact: [email protected].

Information Stored On Your Device

The app stores gameplay progress locally on the device, including:

  • Best Tappy Run score and streak.
  • Daily Challenge results, such as time, efficiency, tap count, and whether the daily attempt was used.
  • Settings such as sound, haptics, and reduced motion.
  • Whether a mode tutorial has been seen.

This local information stays on the device unless the player shares a result using the app's share button.

Feedback And Bug Reports

The app includes an optional feedback and bug report form. If a player or parent sends a report, we store the message, the selected report type, app version, basic device/browser information, page path, and a random device install ID so we can find and fix problems. An email address can be included if the sender wants a reply, but it is not required.

Feedback is used only to improve Tappy Maths, investigate bugs, and reply when contact details are provided.

Anonymous Gameplay Analytics

Tappy Maths may create an anonymous player profile and send gameplay analytics to help improve the game. This can include:

  • A random anonymous user ID and a random device install ID.
  • App version and platform.
  • Game mode, start and end times, score, streak, duration, and whether a run was completed or abandoned.
  • Question details, such as the expression shown, answer, difficulty, available tap buttons, and optimal route.
  • Tap events, including tap order, values before and after a tap, timing between taps, and whether the player overshot the answer.
  • Summary information such as total taps, efficiency, wrong lock-ins, and difficulty tags.

We use this information to improve question design, balance difficulty, understand where players get stuck, and diagnose bugs. We do not use it for advertising.

Children's Privacy

Tappy Maths is designed for children and families. We do not knowingly collect a child's name, email address, precise location, photos, contacts, messages, or other directly identifying information. We do not show ads in the app.

Parents or guardians can ask privacy questions or request deletion of anonymous analytics linked to a device install ID by contacting [email protected].

Sharing Results

If a player chooses to share a result, the app creates share text with their score, time, efficiency, and answer grid. Sharing is optional and uses the device's share sheet or clipboard. Tappy Maths does not choose where the player sends that shared result.

Service Providers

Tappy Maths uses Supabase to support anonymous sign-in, store gameplay analytics, and receive optional feedback or bug reports. Supabase processes this information so the app can improve gameplay and reliability.

Data Retention

Local scores and settings remain on the device until they are reset, cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Anonymous analytics may be kept for as long as needed to improve the game, understand gameplay patterns, maintain security, and support the app.

Your Choices

  • You can clear local scores in the app's Settings screen.
  • You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device.
  • You can contact us about privacy or deletion requests at [email protected].
  • You can leave the optional email field blank when sending feedback.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
